Erectile dysfunction is a man’s inability to get and keep an erection for at least 25% of the time. Erectile dysfunction could be caused by several things including stress, side effects from medications, hormonal imbalances, and reduction in the flow of blood or other psychological issues.

 

Benefits of Yoga for Erectile Dysfunction

 The research on Yoga and erectile dysfunction are just a few, but the few ones suggest that there may be a great improvement in sexual function and satisfaction when you employ yoga activities. One of the studies says that some healthy males from age 28 to 60 who completed their yoga sessions for a 12-week duration reported great differences in all their sexual experiences, they include erection, desire, performance, confidence, orgasm, ejaculatory control, and intercourse satisfaction.

 

A similar study on men undergoing prostate cancer treatment with similar side effects shows the benefit of yoga exercise twice a week, they found out that during the period of the radiation therapy, they experienced a reduce sexual dysfunction and improved urination and fatigue, compared to those who didn’t go through yoga exercise.

 

The fact remains that experts do not completely understand how yoga helps erectile function, but what they have been able to put together is the physical benefits of yoga and how it has directly impacted sexual activities they are improved cardio/respiratory fitness and increased flow of blood and stress reduction.

 

Types of Yoga Exercise that Supports Sexual Function

Several types of yoga help to support ED they are Hatha and Vinyasa, these forms of yoga exercise will deliver similar results that will help lighten ED symptoms.

- Garudasana (eagle pose)

- Uttanasana (standing forward bend)

 

2. Seated poses:

- Mandukasana (frog pose)

- Paschimottanasana (seated forward bend)

- Janu Sirsasana (seated head-to-knee posture)
